Really really funny! I love that, Rina.
Crumb is a hard sell at the best of times, pretty much worthless unless you can sell it to a collector…not worth the time of a retailer…
Chuck — you can get thousands of dollars for an original ink drawing by Crumb. I heard he bought his house in France with a couple of old sketchbooks (lucky him!)… Also I’ve heard that when a friend is hard up for money, he’ll draw a sketch and the friend gets a good sum for it on Ebay….. oh, and about the retail guy — there’s nothing that indicates he’s not a huge collector as well as a retailer. It’s obvious how they talk to each other that Lou knows him, and perhaps has done business with him before. Ahhh! how can you say Crumb is a hard sell!!
Thanks, Benita!
As a Crumb fan, the last panel forced me to fall to my knees, thrust my clenched fists into the air, throw my head back and yell NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
