A New “Velia, Dear” Story Begins!
For the past three months I’ve been working on this new “Velia, Dear” story that features an Italian nun by the name of Brigida. Sister Brigida, according to today’s strip, is Velia’s and ma’s summer houseguest – in other words, the old habit-wearing woman will be with us for a while.
I won’t tell you anything about the story except that I’m having a riot writing and drawing it (I’m in its 34th strip/scene, and nearing the conclusion, which you won’t see for a while — ha ha). I can also tell you that I’ve learned a lot from the deficiencies of the previous “Velia, Dear” story, and so this new story will – I hope – have a quicker pace, and an easier rhythm than the last one had. My only hope is that it turns out to be good, and funny, and that you will enjoy it.
