This is why I need a copy editor. No matter how thoroughly you proofread your own stuff, there’s always some error that will escape unnoticed. The dialogue in the third panel should read, “What was that?” and not, “Was was that” …… duhhhhhh, me so stooopid.
If it’s any consolation, I read it as “What was that”. I was a for proofreader for Macmillan once. I guess it’s good that I moved on.
