Rina, we’ve got to get this creepy, evil nun out of Velia’s life! As the cartoonist, who draws these a long time in advance, you already know how (and if) this will happen. I hope it happens soon because Brigida gives me the shivvers.

Speaking as a rather lapsed Catholic myself, I’m pretty sure Sister Brigida isn’t meant to represent all Catholics or Christians so much as she represents all Sister Brigidas (there’s only the one fictional one, right, Rina?).
Seriously, I love how well crafted her features are. She can be perfectly dreadful, yet I swear I can still sense her humanity. Rina can draw the dark side well, but it still remains grounded in believability.
